Hi all,
Am i right in saying that all ATI Gpu's and Chipsets are all made by
ati and it's just the third party company that actually puts the cards
together?
for exmaple: a Asus X800 would actually use the same chips as a sapphie
X800 and so forth.

ATI design the chips, other companies manufacture them.

ATI designs the chips and then subcontracts the manufacture to any of
several companies with fabrication lines, but the chips are sold by ATI
under the ATI brand. ASUS, Powercolor, etc all buy the chips from ATI,
they don't license the masks and make their own.
