Hi All,
I'm having some trouble remotely administering a few XP Pro
workstations. All PCs are on the same subnet, I have full admin rights
throughout the domain. XP SP2 Firewall settings have been set via group
policy and have been set in accordance with Microsofts recommended SP2
settings for remote admin. The same settings work fine on most
workstations it is just a handful that I am having problems with. I
have checked the firewall settings and they do seem to be getting
applied to all workstations. The 2 things that I am trying to do is a)
remotely admin using Dameware and b) access admin shares ($C etc.)
neither of which work. At first I thought I had cracked it with Simple
File Sharing as it was enabled on a couple PCs but this did not solve
the issue.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I could try?
