I have no other users but I still have to click on my name as the
administrator before booting up to the desktop. There is no purpose in
having to do this as it remebers my password so anyone that would have access
to my computer would only have to click on my name. Is there a way I can
eliminate this process? I have Windows XP with SP2 and this is a home
coputer.

Start, Run and enter CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2
Highlight the account you want logged on automatically
Uncheck Users must enter a username..................
Click Apply
In the next dialog, enter the password for the account you chose earlier, if any.
Ok your way out.

Note: Running as the Administrator account, with no password is a very, Very, VERY bad idea! Virus and malware files run under the user credentials and can do anything you can.
