I searched Google for [extract cab setup file*] but didn't turn up a
match.

I'm looking for something that will take the obfuscated files in a
CAB, such as:

10/21/2003 02:14 AM 836 0000font.006
10/21/2003 02:14 AM 750 0000jump.008
11/22/2003 01:08 AM 266 0000skin.003
11/22/2003 01:21 AM 11,160 000balls.004
10/21/2003 02:14 AM 8,533 000field.005
10/21/2003 02:14 AM 266 000music.009
10/21/2003 02:14 AM 2,236 00nomove.011
10/21/2003 02:14 AM 8,234 00remove.012
10/21/2003 02:14 AM 5,584 0newball.010
10/21/2003 02:14 AM 1,344 gameover.007
01/29/2004 12:30 AM 56,320 LINESG~1.001
11/22/2003 02:07 AM 5,811 LINESG~1.002
01/29/2004 12:30 AM 669 LINESG~4.000

and extract them back to their actual file name. I'm familiar with
CabWiz, but I don't think it does this.

It seems like there'd be something out there that does
this...especially useful would be one that writes the registry
information that would be written, that kind of thing.

I install a lot of PPCs and would like to automate setups as much as
possible. Problem with ActiveSync is, it's linear, not by CPU, and
it's hard to remember what runs on what.

Thanks!

There should be a file called extract.exe located in your windows folder of
your PC. That extracts files from a cabinet. If you open a console (command
prompt window) and type 'extract' you will get a help screen of the
command-line parameters.
