I need help. I'm having a problem downloading the McAfee firewall plus
program offered free from Comcast. Here is what is happening. I can make
it through the download almost to the end and then an error window pops up
and says, "You do not have access to make the required system configuration
modifications. Please rerun this installation from an administrator's
account." The problem with that is I am the computer administrator and I am
downloading
from the administrator's account. I have tried to go to the safe mode with
networking and download the program but the same error message pops up.
Certainly there is a way to fix this problem. I would appreciate any help
that you can give me. Sincerely, Delta Tango

Although it does sound like you do not have the needed permissions and this
MAY be a Windows XP related (or more likely a user permissions) issue - have
you contacted Comcast for help?

The long and the short of it is that the MacAfee supervisor told me that the problem is in the Windows XP, which is why I posted the question. Also, I am the computer administrator and I am downloading from the administrators account. I have downloaded the virus scan and I have downloaded the privacy program and I did not have any problems but for some reason it will not download the firewall plus program. Thanks for responding though.
