I am running XP SP2 with Kerio personal firewall and Avast antivirus. As far
as I know I am allowing all downloads through the security settings in IE6,
however when I click on a link ( with or without holding down the CTRL
button) for a PDF file all I get is a new page opening with an image
placegetter in the top left hand corner of the page. I have tried stopping
the anti-virus, but that didn't help. Any ideas please.

Excellent! Thanks for coming back and letting me know!

Hopefully a search for others in these newsgroups or on Google Groups might
save someone the trouble of posting the same question in the future!
