Just wondering if anyone knows if the S5000 has I/R transfer capability. It
would be nice to transfer my pics to my iPaq or laptop while on the road. I
can't find anything in all the specs I've looked at but I saw what appears
to be a little I/R window on the camera itself. Anyone know or have
experienced using it?

Nah no Infra red...what you saw was probably the AF assist illuminator.
