i hear good stuff about the canon cams... haven't decided on a particular
model... a70, a75? s1?...

what's up with the movie time limit tho?

anyways, suggestions welcome.

3mp
good/great picture quality
small, easy to use
manual focus option (if possible)
usb interface
movies w/sound
AA/AAA, etc. type batteries would be nice...
(as you can see, i am not quite sure what i am looking for)

i would imagine y'all get these kinda questions a lot, but would appreciate
any suggestions.

thanks in advance =)

Cheers! M

The S1 is limited to individual movies of 1 hour or 1GB, whichever
occurs first. At highest resolution and frame rate that works out to
about 8.5 minutes per clip. Multiple clips can be stored on the same
card, assuming you have the space.

In most digicams, the video data is acquired faster tha nit can be moved to
the memory card. After a while, the internal memory of the camera is full,
and the video must end.

Not if you have right card. In S1, if you have high speed CF card, then only
limitation is card capacity. On 256M card you can squeeze 2 mins of video at
highest resolution and 2 min secs at same resolution but a bit bigger
compression. (that is 640x480 at 30 fps with very good 22 k sound)
