I had a digital camera (Canon G5) sent to my home about 3 months ago. I
recently noticed a horizontal scratch about .5inch long on the upper right
(when not flipped out) of the screen. It is a light scratch, but nonetheless
there. To be honest I'm not sure if I somehow did it or if the camera came
like that (while it was mailed to my house 3 months ago, I didn't get to use
it until a couple weeks ago). Is this something that would be covered under
warranty? Is there any way for me to remove the scratch?
Thanks,
Richard

You have to read the details of the warrantee. Scratches can happen in
normal use, but there are ways to protect the lcd. The best is the plastic
shields from www.daproducts.com. There are some products that claim to fill
in scratches, and perhaps someone else can tell you which one works.

The Canon G5 has a rotating LCD display and can be rotated to face the camera
therefore protecting it. Little need for a plastic shield. Mine came from Canon
protected.... facing the back of the camera.
