I have a Dell Axim X-3 and use a Pharos GPS receiver. The receiver is
NMEA-0183 (V2.3) standard. The receiver works great with Ostia map
software. When I try to use it with Pocket Streets, I tap Tools, GPS,
Configure GPS, Com1. Next I click on Tools, GPS, Track Position. The icon
shows that it is doing something, but it never completes. It take a soft
boot to get control of the PPC back. Any suggestions?

Not real familiar with the pharos setup, but have two questions. With
Ostia, is it Comm 1 that is selected? (it connects via the sync port?), and
two, is there a baud rate setting on the GPS? Pocket Streets requires 4800.
