I currently use a Compaq IPAQ 3760. I have been using it for a few months
and have been very impressed with it.

Management has said that if I find it useful they may upgrade it to a more
recent model if it is warranted.

What I want to know is what can I say to them to convince them? Both the
new and old Pocket PCs do the same sorts of things (although the newer would
do it faster one would assume).

What are some points I can raise to convince them that I get use out of this
thing and there is a good reason to upgrade?

So, why do you want to upgrade? It doesn't seem like you really have a need
(or *you* would know why)..

Mine doesn't have any expansion slots for SD or CF cards (that won't be a
selling point though)
Faster processor
More memory in new models perhaps?

I want to upgrade because I can, not becasue I need to.

CF expansion can include cards like GPS, not just memory. Look to see what
else will fit that may be useful.

Some have 128MB now, most have 64MB.

That's the problem, isn't it. You need to find something you need.

Why not look through the MS site for inspiration? Look at the updates for
the WindowsMobile OS to see if there is something in there...... MS say:

Zero Configuration Wi-Fi
Bluetooth Support
New Connection Manager
Enhanced Messaging Support
Enhanced Keyboard Support
Enhanced Contacts
Enhanced Calendar
'Pictures' Image Viewer
Windows Media Player 9 Series
Improved Pocket Internet Explorer Performance
Jawbreaker (that'll work!)
(even using the name WindowsMobile OS may help, it hints at a new
capability).

What OS does your current model have? There may be the 2002 advantages over
earlier OS to add.
