Hello,
I have a Microsoft wireless mouse and I am using Windows 7. When the mouse is plugged in through theSB port, the power options do not function. The display will not dim or the laptop will not sleep automatically. When the mouse is not plugged in, all of the power options will work properly. When i close the lid, it will then go to sleep. Dell even tried to updaye my drivers and it still will not work properly.

Somewhere in the power options there's probably an option for wake-on mouse or something along those lines. I don't have any of the dell power management software to tell you where to go, but there's usually options for waking on mouse/keyboard/lan/etc...
