I am using Win 7 64bit. Everyting so far has been excellent. My games run, boots fast, ect. ect. BUT!
It seems to be turning off when left alone for long periods. Twice when I woke up in the morning and twice when I got home from work, the PC was turned off. When I turn it on it seems to boot perfectly...I have not seen any errors and everything else seems to be working great.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Check your power options. Your system is likely going to sleep, not turning off. By default, computers are set to go to sleep after (i believe) 30 minutes.

I see what you mean about the sleep mode. It is set for 30 minutes. I'm going to have to keep an eye on this. Maye it's a different setting.
Maybe my mouse is just not waking it up?
and what is this? "Turn off hard disk after 20 minutes"? Is this new?
Something is different here from Win XP 32bit to Win 7 64bit...
I never needed to mess with the Power settings before, so this is new for me...
Thanks for the tip.

Not a problem. Turn the setting off and see if it does it again overnight.

Just to update. The computer was entering "Sleep Mode".
I guess this is set to 30 minutes (by default) in Windows 7.

So I did the following to turn off "sleep mode"
1. Left-Click on Start - left side of the taskbar
2. typed in "Power" in the search area
3. selected "Power options"
4. selected "Choose shen to turn off the display" ( on the left side)
5. Selected "never" from the dropdown under "Put the computer to sleep"
6. Save Changes

Thanks again goes out to "The_Prophecy"
