Help! I have chosen a video mode not supported by my
monitor and now I cannot get back into the program and
change it. I have tried F8 but nothing is obvious to
change the resolution back to one that is supported.

To be more specific, the machine will boot but the
monitor only has a floating window that reads "video mode
not supported" and I can't get into it to change it.

Try going in safe mode. Im not sure if XP has a safe mode, but it might be worth a shot. Press f8 when rebooting. I think. lol
