So I'm trying to do this cheap... ie as close to free as possible :-)

I have a 400MHZ machine
5 PCI cards
2 Monitors and 1 Projector

what I'd like to do is play video off of harddrive or DVD drive on all
monitors or it would be nice to play different videos on different monitors
but that isn't required.

or on the wish list I'd like to able to have a mike in so I could do
graphics based on sound in.
I know you can do this using an old winamp plugin but who knows if you could
do this on a 400mhz machine

This would be a dedicated machine for parties so I could strip off all
unused stuff to streamline it so any ideas would be great.

Should I use WinXP or 2000?? or should I learn Linuz for this type of
application (I know I'm on the XP usenet group though)

Thanks
John

Say John, I was like trying to install a pci card into a portable computer and this would be my first time but don't know how to go about it can I use the pcm slot thingee or should I open it up and take a look? And plz if you could email me with any clues as to what I'm doing at sione_@hotmail.com in case it doesnt show on the bottom.
Also I find that what you maybe looking for is an output switch or converter plug-in, etc. maybe.
