I want to update a security system of two video cameras operating for 24
hrs.

So far I have used a time-lapse VCR, though this has been unreliable, and
needs constant head cleaning and replacement tapes.

What are the requirements to replace the VCR with a computer with a large
HHD, and what software would be most suitable bearing in mind the need for a
time-lapse facility?

Any advice to get me started would be most welcome.

Regards Frank
