In the last few days, my windows media player stopped
working. I haven't loaded any new software, and no
hardware. It won't open. It doesn't even appear on my
task manager window trying to open. I noticed it after
my computer did some automatic updates from windows a few
days ago. Is there a new driver or window's diagnostic
tool I can use? What should I do?

Just reinstall WMP. Get the latest version from MS site. This should
fiz the problem.
