Hello all,
I am having a problem with a few mpeg-2 files on my
computer (less than 1% of all the mpeg-2 files on my PC
are affected though), whenever I click on the file in
explorer it forces explorer to close and the same thing
happens if I attempt to load it into media player or
realone player but it plays perfectly in pinnacle studio,
MGI Videowave 4, and TMPGEnc DVD Author.
The strangest thing is that some of the files I am having
problems with are ones that I encoded myself, and if I
delete them and encode them again I still have exactly
the same problem! I am using TMPGEnc Plus V2.5 to encode
them with 750k/s VBR for video and 320k/s for Audio but
the problem is definitely not related to these settings
as I have hundreds off clips that I have encoded with
these settings which all play perfectly in Media player.
If it helps, my system specs are:
Windows XP Home Edition with SP1
Pentium 4 2.4GHz 800FSB with Hyperthreading
MSI mainboard with Intel 865PE Chipset
MSI video card with NVIDIA GeforceFX 5600 VIVO & DVI
1GB PC3200 System RAM
Audigy 2 ZS Sound Card
