Cant decide I have to build a setup for a friend after Christmas. Deciding factors cost and upkeep. I have two boxes of cat 5 cable and am skilled at installition. That is my home network but was wondering if wireless was easier to install and how it holds up? I dont want to be out there every few days troubleshooting this thing. No good deed goes unpunished so if I build it I want to forget it. Not become there computer fixit guy.

If you see a turtle on top of a fence post,
It's a good bet somebody, put him up there.

it all depends on if the computers are going to be stationary or not. if he doesnt walk around with a laptop surfing the net i would go wired. more secure, less chance of interferance and dont have to worry about someone parking out in front of the place using his network to surf porn. Wireless would be easier to install, but more expensive i believe.

I also perfer wired network. It is cheaper and have better performance. I have a laptop but I rarely use laptop to surf internet at home because my desktop have larger monitor and is faster than my laptop.
