i was just wondering if someone had similar problem...i have win2000
installation cd with sp4 integrated...i installed the os to the 160gb
hitachi drive...the drive was recognised as 160gb on setup, but...when
the drive fills up past the 137 gb, everything past that limit stays on
the drive (not much though for the following reason-->), and everything
else before it corrupts, and the MBR is corrupted..i was wondering if
there was a way to stop win2000 from doing that, short of buying a 120gb
drive...also this happened 2 times...1st i thought it was newly
installed memory that was bad, but after happening the 2nd time, this
was the only conclusion that i could draw...disk work fine with XP and
all the test on it are fine..this all happens on the ide controller of
an asus a7m266-d motherboard with bios 1010...drive is hitachi 160gb 8mb
cache parallel ata...thansk for any advice :)
