My Sony A/D is not being recognized as a capture device under
server 2003. The drivers seem to all be in place, it just doesn't show
up as a capture component under directShow.

Any ideas?

Try posting to one of the Server newsgroups - but be aware that Windows
Server 2003 is not really designed for that kind of capability.
