Some video files play back slowly

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.video (More info?)

I've downloaded quite a few video files, either labeled
as mpeg's or "video clips" on my hard drive, but some of
them have started to play back at a slower speed while
the sound plays normally. Also, some won't let me play
beyond a certain point. Are these files corrupt? HELP!
