I use a vhs camcorder to film golf swings. I have crash problems when i connect and disconnect the camcorder frequently. I am told that i must buy a second camera and leave it plugged in to the computer for playback. It was my understanding that USB plug and play devices could be connected and disconnected without problems. Any Advice?

It's generally better to stop the service before disconnecting, by clicking
that little icon in the Systray called Safely Remove Hardware.
