Installing windows 7 external optical drivee?

Yes, I use an external USB DVDRW to install on my home server. The one I have that only needs a single usb port for power is Liteon eTAU108-02.

ahh thanks.. so like.. i ment by having no os on a computer. like i just put it together. the computer will recognize the eternal op drive? thats what im scared of.

Yes it should recognize it. You might have to go into the BIOS and tell it to look to the USB drives on startup.
