i am trying to use movie messenger and a panasonic
camcorder. it says no device connected. when i try to
install the palmcorder usb device driver it says a driver
has already been installed an i need to remove it to
install the correct one but it will not remove from my
system even using control panel. could someone tell me
how to remove it?

Is this an analog camcorder or a digital one. If it's a digital one, you
need to connect via firewire, NOT USB. The USB connection is for transfer
of still images, (PhotoShots in Panasonic speak).

The camcorder should be connected via the firewire cable, turned on in VCR
mode AND usually on A/C power rather than on its own battery.
