-- Windows XP SP2 --

I have a duplicate logical drive
showing up in explorer ...

DISK_VOL2 (D:) DISK_VOL2 (L:)

Drive L is just mirroring drive D
and shows exactly the same directories
and files.

Drive L does not show up in Partition Magic (ver 8)
or in XP's Computer Management/Storage/Disk Management.

I suspect a badly behaved program (now gone) for creating this
"virtual" drive but have no idea how to get rid of it.

Somewhere in the registry ?

thanks for any help,

bill

Try Disk Management. You probably have two drive letters assigned.
