I have a Leadtek TV 2000 XP capture card. I am trying to
save VHS home movies to VCD. The problem I am having is
that the audio on the captured MPG1 files starts off in
sync with the video but goes ahead of the picture the
further I go. I am using the bundled Winfast and Ulead
software. The MPG file is quite large (about 2Gb). Is
this a common problem with large files, or is it a
software problem?

Your hardware is not fast enough, and can't keep up sync. Unfortunately when capturing there is nothing to tell the video and audio encoder to stay together.
