Problems re setup for Home Network using XP Wizard

I have DSL connected to a Modem and then to a Wireless (SMC Barricade 11b)
router. There are two computers (1 hard- wired and 1 wireless laptop)
connected to the router and there is no problem with access to the Internet
for each. I then wanted to set up a home network so I could file and printer
share between the 2 computers (each has XP home installed). I ran the Network
Setup Wizard on each computer (both with and without firewall) but when I
open the Workgroup Computer file in 'My Network Places' the other computer
does not appear. I have tried all various combinations but nothing seems to
work....the setup most appropriate seem 'Other' ie connecting through a hub,
but that doesn't work either and I've tried all the other possibilities I
think. Is there some setting I'm missing...any ideas are welcome. Thanks
