dvd -r and dvd +r which do you recommend?

I have many vhs home movies I want to record onto dvd but
I don't know which dvd's I should purchase. Does it really
matter and if so what do you recommend? Thanks! Kathy

Use whatever the DVD players in your house/over people's houses can play.
