Help! Connecting to wireless Internet in UK

I'm a new owner of an HP iPAQ 4150 with wireless and Bluetooth built-in. I
also have a wireless home network system which I use to connect to my BT
Openworld broadband Internet account. I'd hoped to be able to access that
account via my iPAQ 4150 but so far I've had zero luck. I've read and
re-read 'simple' instructions on how to do this but I'm now hopelessly
confused. What is VPN, do I create an Internet or Work connection? How do I
get my iPAQ to recognise my wirless modem/router?

Is there any UK PPC owner who has managed to successfully establish a BT
Openworld broadband connection on their PDA and can tell me in VERY basic
language how I go about it? Or is there a website that carries these
details? Any help would be genuinely appreciated before I sling my PPC on
the river and take up basket-weaving!
