WINDOWS MOBILE NEEDS MASCOT

.... similarly like Linux has penguin, Windows Mobile needs something too,
some mascot! It is very very important from the marketing point of view.

MASCOT is not bickering but it is a matter of life and death for Windows
Mobile. Linux attributes lot of success to penguins...

Success is in cooperation, not a mascot.

What are you suggesting, that Windows Mobile isn't good enough to survive on
its own merit?

Hehe! I've heard it all now! Windows Mobile Needs Penguins!

Jacek, you're really losing it now. I hope you're not driving.

That's odd, as I have your first message with Angelina Jolie
right here.. although I do use a newsreader that pulls every
message to offline storage :/
Maybe it filters on certain keywords.
I don't think it's anything personal Tedd ;)  :)

ACE,
Think for the last two weeks alot of things are flaky on some of the MS
servers, I have gotten alot of duplicate email in MSN, seen many postings on
groups that have three postings all about the same time, long.....delays on
sending a MSN message to myself and some really odd things on Windows
Update. Must be time for spring cleaning of the servers <g>

saying that AJ is not B is like saying that air has no oxygen.

Did not know you and AJ had such a close relation.
Oxygen is one of many parts of air. Open space is also refered to as air,
but no oxygen.

Encarta Premium:
Air is a mixture of gases that composes the atmosphere surrounding Earth.
These gases consist primarily of the elements nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and
smaller amounts of hydrogen, carbon dioxide, water vapor, helium, neon,
krypton, xenon, and others.

First of all, with that sort of topic, you wouldn't have got anywhere close
to 3% of the reader's attention. the amount of emails i don't even look at,
but delete from my inbox because they have 'viagra' in them, i wondered why
i clicked on your news post.

second of all, windows needs a mascot? i think their logo is enough.

that was my point: there IS NO WINDOWS MOBILE logo!!! There is WINDOWS LOGO
with text "windows mobile", but no separate WINDOWS MOBILE logo!!

That's the whole point of renaming "Pocket PC XXXX" and "Smartphone XXXX"
to Windows Mobile XXXX for Pocket PC/Smartphone". It is supposed to take a
marketing advantage of the strong PC Windows brand.

Put some wings on the "World with a Windows Hat" and be done with
it? I don't think there has to be a critter.

Anyone know what's going on with the Microsoft Office System Contest?
The end of April 2004 has come and gone, and the suspense is seriously
draining MY batteries! I wrote my little heart out! My PPC keeps asking
for a big brother, and I so hate to disappoint him. Maybe the judges are
so awed by my writing prowess and my dedication to technology, that
they can't decide if I need the Segway or the TabletPC (well, until I read
that I get nothing, I can have delusions!). It's true that the Segway costs
more, but truly the Portege is the GRAND Prize, with the Samsung i700
not far behind!

And now they've updated the contest site. Says they will give
their judgements in May. I've ordered a TabletPC. I still think
the windows world with wings is a good one, just not sure if it
should be a frontal shot or a side view :D
