Long time no see everyone! Hope you're all doing well. =)
I am hoping someone has some advice about a printer. I posted up in hardware but no one's answering.
I just inherited a Canon i320 inkjet printer, and it's not working. The indicator light blinks like there's a paper misfeed or something...but the print head won't move at all (except when I move it by hand) and there's a strange, thin rubber belt all loose in there that I don't know what the heck to do with.
It came in the mail wrapped in tons of bubble wrap...just hoping it's ok. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you guys!

If its a rubber belt it's probally a bad thing. Usually on ink jet printers the rubber belts are what turn the rollers that move the paper through, that would also explain your paper jam message. I'd return it immediately back to the store I got it from or RMA it and try to get them to cross ship with you. Baring that you could attempt to figure out exactly where the rubber belt came loose from and reconnect it... that may or may not fix your problem, usually if the belts come off though it's a broken plastic roller somewhere.
Yes yes...I know. Many things have happened since I was last lurking around here, and not all of it good. However, I DO keep coming back because you guys are the most helpful people ON the internet!
And incidentally...no one answered my post in the "printers" section...so THIS is the only forum where things are happnin.
