Hello all -
I have DSL with a Dlink DI704 router. I can currently use my 'cheapo'
web cam to have video and voice conversations with other Messenger
users. This almost always works perfectly.
However, I just bought a Canon Elura 60 and would like to be able to
use that as a webcam. The device connects fine to the computer and I
can copy video back and forth and such. [I have also installed canons
DV Messenger, but I think that is more hassle than I need.]
When I go to the audo/video tuning wizard in either Messenger program,
I see my Elura video picture and all seems well. But I can't seem to
broadcast this video picture - it's just a black screen where the
video should be.
Any thoughts on what would cause my DV cam to seem to connect
correctly, but not actually broadcast a picture using either MSN or
Windows Messenger? Again, I can see the picture in the tuning wizard,
but nothing once I get into a conversation and attempt to 'start
camera' or 'send webcam'.
