Playing DVD's

I have downloaded my digital camera to the hard drive.
In doing this, I am able to choose "show display as slideshow, which scrolls through the set of pictures.
These DVD's (DVD-R, or DVD-RW) are able to show okay on pc, but when I try to play on console DVD player, I can't get ANY of the pics to show, and not able to have choice of having a slideshow.
Can anyone help me out with this.???

What programme did you use to make the dvd? and what settings did you use?
