I have upgraded to Videostudio 8 and now when I try to capture dv my computer crashes. It worked well with VS7. I have tried to check drivers and other compatabilities but they appear up to date. The Firewire PCI appears ok with no other hardware conflicts, the program will talk to my JVC dv camera up until I try to capture and the whole system crashes.
I am running winxp sp1, amd 2600, 200 gig in 2x h/drives, 512 ram etc.
I have tried chasing VS8 for information re compability but no success to the problem. Any ideas would be gratefully accepted as I can't work it out and the frustration levels are mounting. Thanks in anticipation, mm
