Hello

I have a 4-year old Dell desktop that has a USB port but which I'm pretty
sure is not USB 2.0. I also have a newer (about 6 months old) IBM Thinkpad
laptop.

I'm looking for an external DVD burner I could use to back up data from
both systems.

Most of the external burners being advertized these holidays require either
FireWire or a USB 2.0 port.

Are there any reasonably priced external DVD burners that support all the
popular formats (+/- R/RW) that would work with the older USB standard ?
