I have install a 1394 FireWire Adapter which my computer
recognizes and indicates that it is working. However
when I plug my Panasonic Digital Video Camera into the
system, the camera is not recognized.

Is the camcorder:-

Turned on?
In VCR Mode?
Powered by A/C and NOT its internal battery?
