I am playing a file that I copied from a DVD on to my computer, I am playing it in InterVideo WinDVD. It has played fine in the past - I could load the file by double-clicking it. Now if I open the file, WinDVD opens but it can not load the file. I must load the file from within WinDVD, when I do that, the file plays but it as a clicking noise in the sound and the video plays faster than it should , maybe 1.25 times faster - so the sound is also higher pitched. Any ideas on how I can fix this ? I have installed some recording software (protools and some add-ons, but I know I had protools, and I think I had all the add-ons installed when the video file was playing fine in the past.) Any advice would be awesome.

Something is obviously interfering, if it's not been playing up too long can
you do a system restore and then add the other apps and test as you go
along?

Yes, I could try that, but if I find the app that is interfering, then what....because most likely I want that app installed. So I probably should do what you suggested, but if I could have a more specific fuess I what was interfering, then I could remove a specific file or, is there a way I can change the way my computer is playing the video. I don't know much, but what driver or etxtension does interVideo/my computer use that I could reinstall ? Quicktime ?
Thanks for any more help

No, but it never did. The file types are .bup .vob, there are three files for eac h video segment so "VTS_01_0"," VTS_01_0.bup", and VTS_01_1.vob" The first file has the intervideo logo.
