Hi there.

If you can synchronize shutter frequency of your camera with one of your TV
then you can just put your camera on a tripod in front of your TV and click
the record button.
Alternatively you can use a computer with a video capture card that has a TV
tuner. I know www.ati.com does such video cards, but I suspect other
manufacturers do them too. Software that comes with such TV tuner card is
most likely allows you to record any TV show and save those on disk in a
file. Those video files could be recorded on any DV camera though firewire
like any video files.

Regards, Aharon.

If your DV can be used as a video recorder connect it to the output jacks of
your vhs recorder and record that signal

Problem with that is you have to make sure that your composite AKA "RCA"
jackes on the camera can do IN and OUT some cheaper camcorders only offer a
OUTPUT.
