Since Valve hasn't seen fit to release even a screenshot of TF2, I wonder
has it taken second place behind DukeNukem Foreever as Vapourware of all
time.

I still remember the post in Jan 2003 on www.shacknews.com when Valve said
they would be revealing new info soon on TF2.

Didn't they also say the same thing last year.

I have a feeling TF2 was canned a while ago.

Yup, and actually it isn't far behind in terms of vapourware.

ISTR they announced TF2 the same time TF for HL was released. It was
promised within 6 or 12 months or something.

at least valve is still a software company, as testified by the source
engine. it is my belief that 3d realms is now a social club for the
creators of duke, somewhere they go to get away from their wives &
pretend to be doing something constructive.

gary: so, is there no chance we can be together?
lisa: only if you promise me you'll never die.
gary: you know i can't promise that!
lisa: if you could do that, i'd make love to you, right now.
