I can view my videos as thumbnails because it re-starts
my desk-top. Why? E've even downloaded the latest DivX &
that wont play most of them either. They used to play so
I know its not a codec. What's the problem?

Do you mean you can't play them?
What have you added to the system since you could play them? Can you remove
these or use system restore to get back to the point you could lay them?
