Hi,

Ever since I installed this I have been experiencing
difficulty playing dvd's or any other video media. With
PowerDVD 5 it just hangs. With WinDvd 6 I get an error
cannot create overlay. Check blah, blah.
Checked everything and its ok, but still get same error
message. After dxdiag.exe I found out all 3d option are
unavailable and greyed out,
Vide card: ATI Radeon 9700 with 128 meg of mem.
I think it is an Window OS problem. I have been reading a
lot of post related to video problems since 9.0b release.

Try DirectX 9.0c - it's been out for weeks.
