FF and Rewind greyed out in WMP

Hi

I am having a weird problem with my WMP 12 . The fast forward and the rewind buttons are greyed out and I cant find any google solution as to how I can resolve this issue. Has anybody else faced similar issues? How can it be resolveD?

Please let me know if you need any other info regarding my sys etc. I am running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I have a Phenom X4 955 and Gigabyte 880gma ud2h.

Another problem I was facing was with lag issues in MPC but somehow that has been resolved as I switched to WMP. I was running blu ray movies. Any idea why this could have been happening? Since I am able to play the same movie in WMP I dont think it is an issue with the potential of my onboard GPU.

What type of video file are you trying to play? Not all file formats allow for FF and RWD. I know that seems odd, but it is true.

Also, is your Win 7 install fully up to date?

I am playing the mt2s files ... and yes my win7 is updated on a daily basis

Also, do you have any thoughts/ideas regarding my 2nd question?
