Dxdiag error

Not sure if this topic should be posted here but here
goes

i installed directx 9.0c and from that point i recive the
following messege.

Dxdiag error.error problems getting extra sound info,
result code = 0x80070057 (invalid argument(s))

can anyone help or point me in the right direction?
