monitor goes blank

My monitor was working fine then the resolution dropped so i rebooted. The it
comes up shows windows xp then goes blank but i can hear my startup running
programs I just can't see anything on the screen. I have tried safe mode but
nothing seems to work any ideas ?

I am having the same problem. I think it might have
something to do with the dual screen setting, but am not
sure. Have you heard any responses?
