I have recived an email attachment containing a .wmv file.

Clicking on this file opens Windows Media Player but the
picture is stationary and the sound is just a low "moan".

I have sent this attachment to several friends and they
had no problem opening and viewing it. I therefore assume
that one or more of my Media Player settings is wrong.

Can you help, please.

If you have multiple media players or another drive such as power dvd you are
experiencing a conflict problem. Microsoft has a suport sight that will guide
you through process of detecting conflicts and resolving them
