Interesting. AVG7 Pro and Trojan Hunter have nothing bad to say about
Steam.

Hmm. Neither has McAfee, Adaware or Spybot. Usual bullshit rumours or

Panda? I think it's a free one, not sure. I've heard of it but not
used it.

Make sure to note that it came using HEURISTIC scan mode, which attempts
to predict if a file MAY be a virus without matching any known virus
signature strings. This mode is known to produce many false positives.

A good place to ask would be news://news.grc.com/grc.security.software
Lots of interesting discussion there, as well as the other GRC newsgroups.

AVG is from Grisoft. A free antivirus solution. Another is Avast from Avast.
I use both together now instead of Norton 2005 as it let something in
and got disabled\destroyed.

I use "deep heuristics" in AVG7, and it's popped a few things coming in
that nothing else did. I appreciate it a lot when both AVG and TH go
off at the same time :)
