Nero's got an attitude problem

So I've got Nero 6, all updated, using NeroVision Express 2.0. For the most
part, it burns my downloaded avi / mpg files no problem. But for some of
them, mostly my IMAX documentaries, Nero goes into a comma. When I hit the
burn button, everything goes like plan until about the 10 minute mark . Then
'Current Progress' freezes, but "total Progress"' keeps counting. It can
stay like this for hours with no results, and task manager says it's not
doing anything. Then I can't abort the process, and have to force quit with
TskMngr. For other files it works no problem. WTF? I've messed with screen
size, resolution, bit rate, makes no difference. Anyone know what the
problem is?
Thanks

You could have a corrupt file, have you tried to see if it just happens on
one specific file. Get a rw and narrow it down.

Nick,
Yeah, it's always the same files that cause the problem. But I can watch
them on the computer no problem... Is there a way to definitively tell if
they're corrupt? Anyway, it's locking up during the 'transcoding streams'
part, not during the actual burning. If it's a coding protection problem,
how do I get around that?
Thanks for all your help.
