Buying new Digi Camera- Any tips welcome!

Hi,

After having trouble with my Canon Digital Ixus version1, sent it in
to repaircenter for an investingation on what was wrong,, ended up
with a cost proposal from them at a freking $400 for repairing it!!!!

Well no chance on that, so I´m up to buy a new one. Have looked at
some reviews and think I will choose between the Konica Minolta G600
and the new Pentax Optio S5i, I don´t need a camera that can do good
A3 pics, well satisfied with good A4, so between these does someone
have any opinions?

I will definietly not buy any more Canon cams, although I must say I
think the Digital Ixus 500 looks very nice ....
