I've recently upgraded to windows xp from win 98SE and now I can't see
any of my .avi films. I've downloaded the latest Divx bundle, but the
screen is a mess even for films which GSpot confirms are rendered and
ready to play.

The screen isn't blank. It has a kind of colour spectrum arranged
vertically across the screen and many dark horizontal lines across it.

Other formats appear fine and none have an audion problem.

I see others have had similar problems. Maybe it's time to revert to
windows98SE...
